I noticed that the rudder does not act like the ailerons and elevators. With the ailerons and elevators the plane is effected as long as you use that control surface. The rudder will only give you about 15 degrees of yaw and stop.

I would think that you could make a 360 flat turn using only rudder (and reverse ailerons to counter the roll) it would be a slow wide turn but it should continue to turn more than 15 degrees.

I would like it to be as realistic as possible So if it is correct now just let me know.

Thanks

I know Im probably using the wrong guage but AFAIK the current implementation is realistic. Ive yet to see a flight sim model it otherwise. One thing Ive seen in WWII maneuvering books is the slide (a maneuver in which you bank the opposite direction of your yaw to throw of an attackers aim).

I would guess what Falk said, rudder will twist the plane so far - then it will just skid along. This angle will affect the roll though, especialy in WWI planes.

You can look at the force vector in debug mode. The rudder creates the sideways tourque, the plane changes its direction, but the heading remains constant. The plane will only rotate so far until the force of the rudder is countered by the force of the fin/fuselege that is trying to 'wheater-vane" it into the wind.
