I've been playing around with cameras in Max lately and I've found them to be indispensable. I used to think that they were just for animation, but now I know that they're extremely useful for modeling also. For instance, if you put a camera in the cockpit at about where the pilot's head would be, you can, while in the perspective viewport, switch to the camera's point of view at any time by hitting "c". To get back to perspective mode, simply hit "p". You can also set up multiple cameras in a scene. You will be asked which camera to activate when you hit "c", if there are multiple cameras. Anyway, the point is, you can have certain views which can be activated easily. I like to set up cameras at the different switchin distances so I can get an idea what the plane will look like at key distances.

Jt,One question. I have both (3DMAX and AC3d) but I think that finding tools (how to make things) in 3dMAX is a very, very, very hard wall (Did you remember the twist ?) I've forgot 3dMAX and tried AC34d, at least some tools are very simple. But I would like to know if when you modeled wing or the fuse any part got darker in 3dMAX. I know that it's a fantastic software but I am strugling with it all the time... If the shadows don't appear in your models I will try 3DMAX again... Just a question ... nuum WWI aircraft

Hi, Nuum.... Hmmm... it's hard for me to say unless I look at the file. Do you think you could send the Max file or a screenshot?
