I have a book on the Zero but it is in Japanese. Can anybody help me translate a page in it? I think this page has some info to make the FM for the Zero correct.Click the link below to see the page. (Warning - it's 200K) http://www.erols.com/mposis/fm.jpg Thanks, ------------------ Glad I had my seatbelt on... [This message has been edited by mposis (edited 11-26-1999).]

dauntless, Thanks. I have seem this page but the page in the book give more information. For example, I think in the left side of the page it has the wing area, weight of the engine, wing loading, and power loading. I have no idea what is on the right side. ------------------ Glad I had my seatbelt on...

My wife has just had a look, but she's going to need her dictionary and a couple of hours. The terms used are very technical and she doesn't know enough about planes to understand the info without using the dictionary. So, if nobody else does it first she'll do it this weekend.IP: Logged |

Aronsky,Thanks. A lot of people said they're going to help but no results yet. Don't send it to your friend's dad yet I am waiting for Spyder and Jerry to translate it first. IP: Logged |

Sorry Mposis, my wife had a good look but she can't understand the terminology. Each Kanji has an individual meaning, even within a word consisting of several Kanji. If one isn't familiar with the terminology it's almost impossible to translate. "Wingu-loading? Nan desuka?". IP: Logged |

The line that says Kg/m^2 is wing loading The other ones that say m^2 would be areas of surfaces on the plane it would be pretty easy to guess which is which from a three view. Even a partial translation would make it easier to pick out the rest. TS ------------------ ________________________ TS Aircombat

Tailslide,Here is what I got so far. Wing length:11 m Wing area 21.338 m^2 Aspect ratio 5.71 Power loading 2.49kg/hp It also gives hp at altitude I am also guessing that engine weight is 849.41 kg propeller weight 145.3 kg

( 11 x 11 ) / 21.338 = 5.7 so your numbers are right

My wife took a look at it but couldn't make heads or tails of it. She's from the Philippines. Right race (asian), wrong country. :PIP: Logged |
