For that, you'll have to do the following:1) Quit your job (or drop out of school, whichever applies). 2) For the first five years, live at the library and digest every Aero related book you can find. 3) For the next five years, live at your local major bookstore, digesting everthing they have. Barring that, pick a specific subject and we'll be able to give you a shove in the right direction IP: Logged |

Razor,Is that all you want?!?!!! I have been looking at DM since April. I have been collected FM data since that time for one plane: the Lanc! I still don't have 1/3 of what is on Tailslides list. ------------------ Kopper Fortunae Nihil (Nothing to Chance) OPPs Making SDOE a Dangerous place. One plane at a time.

In trying to locate FM data I have found, no one book has everything you are looking for. Indeed, a book you are looking at may only have 1 line of valuable information for you.------------------ Kopper Fortunae Nihil (Nothing to Chance) OPPs Making SDOE a Dangerous place. Aircraft maintenance manuals would be worth their weight in gold here (and thats alot, because most manuals are FEET thick!). They would tell you things like specific dimensions, centers of gravity, speeds, RPMs, Weights, Fuel/ammo loads, what material things are made out of, and if required, how to drain the onboard toilets And so on. The real nitty gritty Openplane stuff we NEED to knowPilots manuals would also be of help, but not for the above things. It would be usefull for the actual operation practices of the aircraft. Then there are the blueprints, which are harder to find then a Canadian in Texis. But they are only limited to the actual shape of the plane. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. ------------------ Cheers! Jaguar www.fshangar.com IP: Logged |

Did I mention I had the airframe manual for the Lanc. There is a whole chapter on weights and the centre of gravity. Plus the Pilot notes for each aircraft has some good info.------------------ Kopper Fortunae Nihil (Nothing to Chance) OPPs Making SDOE a Dangerous place. One plane at a time. IP: Logged |

Did I mention that I don't care? LOL..... J/K.... So you see what I mean. If we could get this kidna stuff for all the planes (and Multigen) we'd be kicking it! ------------------ Cheers! Jaguar www.fshangar.com IP: Logged |
