Here is the problem:
If i set in the Torbruk terrain the Town or target as a mission objective (example 20% destruction factor to win the mission) then i have the problem that it doesnīt work.
I can destroy or let AI destroy the whole town, i never get the "mission won" message.
Also the red X in the inflight map isnīt placed on the town, but in the middle of the map.
I checked the the obdata origin and all looks OK so far.
So it might be that i did something wrong, or OPS or ol tools screwed the code, i realy donīt know it.
Itīs realy bad that there is Nothing of documentation about the terrain stuff.
But maybe anyone have an idea.

Heya Rends....

Don't know if this came from my e-mail to Diego or not, but I have seen the same thing....when the town is set as a target, the red square on the map indicating the "target" is in the middle-- and when you fly there, the red X shows up there and not at Tobruk, right?

The AI still heads there and bombs the town, but I think since the town is so spread out, it will be quite hard to get a lot of damage there-- simply too much area to bomb to get the message.

I have found that for most of the targets in fact The point where the AI code "recognizs" the target and drops bombs is always it seems the area with a small concentration of things destroyed. Somehow or other, that point needs to be moved to a more concentrated area of the target so more things are destroyed and you can get a high percentage for your mission objective.

jeeves,
yes it comes from your feedback
But i set 3 Lancs do do their job and thy made it well, more of the half of the town blows up,but it will be always the same that you donīt get those "mission won" message.
Iīm sure that there must be someting wrong in the code, since i moved the town and the HQ and the oiltanks, but i realy canīt find it

Roger that Rends...

I must admit I only used one Lanc in testing-- and it had the Blockbuster loadout I also tried with the Tallboy

Will try out with more and see...

One more point to bring up....the game seems to flash a "Mission Won" message immediately upon entry when there are no enemy planes in the mission....do you have enemy planes in the mission you are testing?

If not, try putting one in just parked on an airfield-- and if you go ahead and bomb, and get the black line through your mission objective (Alt-O screen)-- you should then get that message. For some reason-- the game only seems to recognize a mission won message on a ground attack or bomber mission when there are enemy aircraft in the mission--even if the aircraft are not mission objectives.
