How do I add those night-lights (like for the JU88-Floatplane) to another plane?1. Grabed the one of the JU88-float 2. changed the DOF 3. changed the gunlist 4. changed the loadout ...still doesn't work, that means if I add it fix to the loadout it's OK, but I can't toggle it with the keyboard off and on any help out there???

When you say you "changed the DOF", did you edit the bit in the DOF proplist where it says:oscParent 'Ju88float And change the 'Ju88float bit to the name of the main model of your plane instead? That's all I can think of right now... IP: Logged |

on some planes they are ordanace, on others (mine) they are always there, since they can be turned on and off. My suggestion GT is to grab the IL4 from simfiles and copy them onto yours, then you just need to change the DOF and make sure your keyboard.inp has the command to turn them on and offIP: Logged |

Suggestion to all plane builders: do it this way! It does bring up an interesting point that I've always wondered about though, the inclusion or deletion of parts in general. It's one thing to have a drop tank in the ord because that's what even the pilots though of them as, but things like tow hooks, landing lights, optional radar masts etc. are all things that could be handled in the same fashion as ord with a "versions.ppf" file. I think the reason that some put them into the loadout Maury, was because the AI doen'st use lights, they are either on or off depending on how you set them in the SM file, only a person knows to turn them on or off. What I did (or was thinking of doing, can't remember if I got round to it without checking) was to link the main landing lights to the landing gear, so they come on when the AI lowers the gear, and the running lights on the wing tips were always on but with the ability for you to turn them off.Thing is, with the problems of loadouts being to big and causing ME problems, it just seemed best for me not to include them in the loadout. Guy's your are simply the best...I've solved almost every problem with the Defiant..and it looks from day to day better Fixed: - Landing lights (without loadout) - Droping fairing (Door-Key) - Turret goes up and down (Canopy-Key) - Open-close canopy - Landing main light (from the IL-4) still to do: - canopy needs a better shape (general) - cockpit..still no images of original one Ahhhh and btw onestly basicaly it is still the Hurricane cheers gt IP: Logged |
