I've got a major problem and I can't figure it out, although I've read quite a few OP tutorials.

I wanted to change the shape of Ju88 engines. In OpenPlane studio 1.2.1 I've selected left engine and exported it as *.obj file. Then I've imported it in 3D Studio MAX 2.5, remodeled it and exported back as *.obj file.

The problem is that I don't know how to get the new-shaped engine on Ju88 in OpenPlane Studio.

Could someone please explain the entire procedure with all the details to me?

well, the export and change sounds fine, the import "should" be just as easy.

in OPS, select the engine, then go to Import, and browse to the obj you exported from max and select it and hit OK, thats it, the new engine will appear.

So, if that doesn't work, then you need to tell us why errors happend.

Thanks for the info.
After importing the new engine I was a bit disappointed because the texture look strangely streched (that must be because modifying the engine's shape). Any way to fix that - could you please tell me how?

sounds like you'll need to re-map the texture.

When the object is mapped, it fixes the texture to the parts. Evert vertex you move afterwards, 'stretches' the texture. It's effectively 'fixed' to the vertices by the mapping process.

Only cure is to re-map the texture onto your ne shape

OK, whenever you change the shape in any 3D program, the texture moves with it, imaging the texture as it is, a skin, it's placed on a part, and if you pull a corner out of shape, the skin goes with it.

Just as Tail has said above, you need to re-map the model once your pushed and pulled verts around.

If you don't know how to map, lets us know.
