I have this (and have had it for some time...) I have never figured out how to get my plane into the demo (yes, I know there are instructions there... but sometimes I just dont get it...)  The point is this.. If I could get the PBY into OpenPlane Demo, I could send it to PBY pilots and get their response (the same could be done with other planes). They aren't gamers so it doesnt really matter to them that air combat or the full terrain isnt there. On the other hand, I think we are also overlooking this as a way to bring new members into the community... Specifically:
I need to add the plane.
I need to add the NACA0021 airfoil.
I need to add the Seaplane Landing Zone.
What is the equivilent of keyboard.inp (so the floats can be lowered...)
If I can add any of the special weapons or targets, that would be great too!!!.... But HOW??? ------------------

Add it just like you add things to SDOE. NOw just edit the default mission file. You can look at my old one for an example of the files I updated:

I checked it out and its what I expected to see, except....
Did you specify a custom airfoil anywhere? If so where...
If not, can it be done? (It doesnt make a lot of sense to use this to test your aircraft if you cant use the proper airfoil....)

No startup.ppf file for one... I tried just making the itmes needed but it crashes on takeoff (if yoou know what I mean... ) IP: Logged |

Did you extract all the par files of the openplane demo? It is in there somewhere... or it might have a different name like init.ppf or something.. I forget.IP: Logged |

I'm no expert on this Snikers but i've managed to get planes into the Island demo I unbigged and copy'ed the Island terrain into my terrain and mission editor folders then added "Island" into the mission editor(notpad) when you make a mission half the islands missing in the mission editor window but you can get all the stuff in there. I think you may have trouble beaching the PBY is a pretty rocky coastline hope this helps.Happy landings Blast IP: Logged |

I have extracted the equivilent of startup.ppf from the demo and added the line for the airfoil... Still no joy... Right you with the PBY I dont have the time to spend figuring it out (but its high on the list once the beta comes out...)... ------------------
