I need to Know if i need any special
Plugins for 3D max Studio for Importing
and exporting the lod files?

If there is..? Could someone please
direct me in the right direction?

as far as I know, lod's can't be handled by max. What you need is OBJtoMAX and the reverse. They are a little tricky to use, but can be made to work.

From OPS export plane parts as .OBJ files, and re-import as the same. Nat is probably your best bet for advice on Max. He has used most versions and plugins

just what Tail says, you can't use LODs with Max, you have to use Obj format. You need 2 sets of plugins, Obj2Max (for importing and object file into 3DS Max) and Max2Obj (exporting from Max to Obj format). Once you get the basic settings right you will have little problems with them.

There are different versions of the file depending on which version of Max you have, I currently have Max2, 3.1 and 4 and have the plugin for each version. You can find the plugins here:
