I'm working on releasing all my drivable ground objects in pack but I'm also updating and revamping them so they look/drive/blow up/shoot/ nice and etc, but I've a few questions:

1. What triggers the AI to bail out? I know the obvious things like wings/tail detaching or not defined in parent, etc, but does the "vehTire" prop have anything to do with it? In almost all my vehicles, the AI will eventually bail out after about 10-15 minutes of being left on their own. In some vehicles, the AI will bail quicker, in others, they'll wait longer. Can the actual position of the airfoil LODs such as the wings and elevators, for example if the wings are rotated to face wingtip towards the front (nose), can this trigger them to bail too? Is there any other things that the AI looks for and bails out if it's not right?

2. In the OP doc it says that "vehTire" is used to define the unsteerable tyres on the object, but I've noticed most planes define all their tires including their nose/tail wheels which steer them in this prop

I've noticed that by removing the steering tires from the vehTire prop makes the AI wait longer before bailing, but they still do after a while.

And is it possible to have too many tires? Could this contribute to the AI bailing so fast? The M3 has no less than 12 wheels on the rear tracks alone:

I'd appreciate it if someone can clear these up. Thanks.

It could have something to do with the altitude. I noticed that when I created some missions that some b-17s couldn't make it over a hill after takeoff once and all they did was apply full backstick and set them down on the hills. The AI is not intelligent on the skill level set to maximum and all their level maxed out in the mission editor too. Now this is just a theory but when the ground vehicle goes under the altitude at which you have the altitude set for a vehicles waypoint the AI thinks the plane is damaged or going down. So therefore it bails out. You have to find out how high the vehicle sits off the ground and keep that altitude for all the waypoints that could help. I never played with ground vehicles so I couldn't tell you if this is the correct answer or not. Best explanation for what I think is going on. If it had something to do with the design of the vehicle the AI would bail right on startup. If it is not doing that then your vehicle should be fine.
