My Pea Shooter sits with it's tail in the ground.

I have checked the body contact points and they look correct and have checked the tail wheel. Any advice welcome, thanks.

Make sure it starts high enough off the ground when the mission starts. (Check the obWheels prop list)

It starts on the ground and the tail is under it :-)

What do I look for or change in the ob list? I did add another point where the tail wheel was but that did not help.

Try moving your tailsteel/tailwheel up.

It sounds like your wheel has issues. Maybe try copying one from a plane that works.

The tail wheel MUST have the right prop list (CTire, etc.) Also it most have a rotate DOF for the rolling. The parent model needs to know it is a wheel too. The TireRadius needs to be set so it fits the model.

Dumb question, but did you specify the "obWheels" in the main model? There is also an obBodyPt associated with the axle point I believe.

The other possibility is that the tailwheel/strut is breaking when the mission starts. The planes sometimes start a foot or two off the ground and drop to the surface at mission start. This can break the strut if it's not strong enough. Try an inflight mission and see if you can land without the tail going through the ground.

Hi Jedi I am using the GeeBeeR1 as a base model and that used the mustang as a base. It seems to want to take the GeeBee stance as that is the angle it assumes with the tail in the ground. I have looked at all the things mentioned and can find nothing wrong.

Something I did messed it up though and I will just keep looking or shorten the aircraft :-)
