Here's one that has probably been answered, but here it is anyway:

Is there a particular color (or range of collors) that is displayed in-game as invisible in the SDOE color palette?

The reason I ask is because I'd like to put some damage skins together that will display "real" holes in the textures for rips and bullet hits.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think what you are asking about will require the use of alpha textures. As far as I know in SDOE the non-displaying colour in an alpha channel is pure black (that's what I have used for the cockpit reflections and gunsight reticules). The texture flag in OPS will have to be set to alpha. Have a look at the P-51D.sm, to see how this is done.

You will need to have a paint package that can handle layers and alpha masks (I use Paint Shop Pro 7).
