Ok, for some odd strange act of God, bullets pass right thru the Go-229s wings and a large portion of its fuse. The bullets can hit the engines and cockpit area just fine. So why is this happening? Razer checked the flags and he said he changed them but still no go...

Help me!

Do they have phyLBS or phyRelDensity in their properties?

Yup, the wings have a RelDensity of .75 and the Fuse has many RelDensity settings for its inertia boxes.

were the flags all changed at the level 1 LOD? SDOE looks to the level 1 LOD for hit detection.

Also, I think those flags are tricky to change, if I remember correctly don't you have to set whether the normal points in X,Y, or Z direction? I guess the safe thing to do would be to just copy the flags for wing poly's of some other plane.

good luck

Hi ArgonV

I'm late but I only do unregular searches for my name here in the forum (don't got the time to follow all posts)...However Happy new year !

OK - the wings:

* the wings got inertia boxes and "weight" - right ?

* the geometry of the higest lod is ok (= all normals are pointing away from the wing, no double faces or other "unclean" geometry) - right ?

* the polyflag -> [thinking] . . . ok 8 bits here:

# ## ## ###

0 00 11 000

this should be the right polyflag for the upper and lower wing faces (see also pg 8 of the OP manual), only "problem" this is "10010101" (binary right?) format, you had to convert it into decimal ("08") OR hexadecimal ("ff") BUT I forgot which is the right, just do a quick test.

Mail me back please !

PS: The Axis and PolyStyle bits are essential for proper hit detection (see Page 8)

Laika, much thanks for this info! I however am not skilled in these areas and thus cant fix it myself. It will have to be up to somebody else to do so...
