How does one calculate this? This seems to be the trouble with the AI and the Me-163.

according to the book....

engSFC is measured in Lbs/BHP/hour

or, to put it another way, if the engine has 1000 bhp and burns 100 lbs of fuel per hour, then it's SFC is 0.1.....I think....

What I don't understand is why a plane should cause the problems you have been experiencing when it runs out of fuel. Surely the engine should just stop?

I remember doing a search on this topic a little while ago. I think the description in the open plane documentation is a little off.

Thanks for all your help! I have discovered that it was the engine SFC property causing the AI to give me a CTD on the Me-163. Thats currently being worked on and fixed... but I dont know by when... I got to go study for exams now.
