I figured this out a long while back for forgot to post it... I know this annoys alot of you when you want to modify the properties of a pilot or give something a parachute so heres the fix to solve those problems! The chutes stop working because OPS messes up certain code in one of the Funcs of the Parachute object. Go get a pilot, make a backup, take a look at the Func on the Parachute in OPS, reload it in OPS and have another look at it. You will see whats changed...

To Fix this:

-Uncheck 'Parse Proplist'
-Copy the code of the parachute in the 'Edit Properties as text' mode BEFORE you reload or save the pilot/parabomb.
-Copy it in a text document and save it.
-Recheck 'Parse Proplists' and when you are done making modifications, reload the pilot/parabomb and edit the parachute in the 'Text Mode' and copy/paste the origonal code back.
-Then uncheck 'Parse Proplist' and save.

This fixes the pilot bug soooo many of you hate.

ArgonV, thanks for the info, but were are you finding the 'Parse Proplists'? I can't find it anywhere. What version of OPS are you using?

Also, I have been able to copy and paste the parachute to a bomb object and the obropePt's are still holding, just the chute does not work (slow down the object)

Thanks for your help.

Im using OPS v1.3

Parse Proplists can be found under View -> Prefrences. Its the last option in the menu. The chutes not working because of most likey what I said above. OPS screws over a Func that the parachute must have to work. I'll also look into this bomb/parachute idea...
