A little bit stumped here. On the Aussie Spits, I built in some "damaged landing gear" that would appear and droop down if the real gear was damaged. Works OK, and if you land with the damaged gear hanging, it will "collapse" when it contacts the ground. Fine.

But for the Corsair, I changed it a little. When the Hog gets gear damage, the gear will actually extend into the slipstream via a DOF and "jam" in position. Looks cooler than what I did with the Spit. BUT, when THIS gear hits the ground, it goes right through. Sure, it still looks like the gear collapsed, but if you're watching, it's obviousl that the gear is just going through the ground, and there's no way to actually make it break off like the Spit gear will.

So, what am I missing? I set them up exactly the same way, with all the same inertia cylinders and wheel points and all that, with the exception that the Spit gear just "unhides" and the Hog gear "unhides and extends." The "damaged" Spit gear will actually hold up the airplane if I put "stronger" springs in it, the Hog gear acts like it doesn't exist.

I'm so confused
