Jedi, Thanks to you the armour plating is working like a charm now, you were right I needed to add inertia boxes to the armour plates, I've set switchin at 1 so they don't appear, obhits are at 20, explosion at 0.001 100 and a grey/brown short lived smoke trail at damage 8. What this means is.. The wings now survive alot longer under cannon fire, each plate will take 2 cannon hits (tested against A6M5) before it explodes and leaves an area of wing unprotected, the wings use the obprob system of damage that is applied to the P47D, meaning once the wing is hit after armour has been blown away there are varying chances of blowing the wing off with each hit/damage level, this is working great now I've not added armour to the engines yet, if I do it will only be light armour cause Condors DM is that good

Thanks, I am glad it is working out good on the IL2. I will put a description of how the damage works as soon as I can.

That engine damage makes a difference, doesn't it? The "new" Corsair won't be such a tank now--lots of ways to knock it down without sawing off big parts
