Just curious- is someone working on a WWII carrier? I noticed the carrier in the Corsair training missions was a Forrestal class which didn't go into service until the late 50's early 60's. (The deck shape was first used in the conventional powered Forrestal and then later used in nuclear carriers)

Although Midway class carriers and some Essex class were converted to angled flight decks to accomdate jets and add safety sfter WWII, there were no carriers with angled flight decks during the war.

Hmmm

Complete the Yorktown and you've got the Enterprise, Hornet, and Yorktown.

And weren't the Akagi, Kaga, Hiryu and Sryu all the same class carrier?

Midway here we come- wait no Devastators

Say- anyone wanna try landing on a "jeep" carrier

There sure were some good pilots in WWII

The other Jap carrier is not in the same class as the Akagi. It begines with a Z and it is not one of the names you mentioned.

The Zuikaku....

Hmm...Yorktown is around here somewhere.

My main Carrier focus has been making them AI functional. It has required a small scale-up, since the AI can't work out that halfway along the deck is no place to throttle up your motor! Carrier launch involves banging open the throttle, and then releasing the brakes! It was make the carrier bigger, or give up! They won't even use Maces catapult engine. In any case, unless you park another carrier right alongside, they don't look that out of place.

wakeup, when time permits (In other words... when most of your projects are complete) can you still finish up the Yorktown as a placeable object (Like the current boats) I like the idea that I can place my carriers anywhere I choose.
