The plane would have to be designed verticle or set the obwheels to be verticle of one another.

If I am not mistaken, in the properties of the main plane object, the obWheels property consists of the points where wheels touch the ground, and this is used to position the plane when you enter the mission. Putting these at the desired contact points with the ground should do the trick.

N E V E R ! That obWheel thing wont work !

ArgonV - Depends on what you will do -> an VTOL (or whatever it is called) airplane or a plane which starts like an rocket -

IMHO: A key point is the orientation of the base object (i.e. the fuse) which could be changed in OPS.

Well... I tried the obWheel thing. WONT WORK! The object has to be a certain way in a 3d program to start vertical... Oh that sucks. So much for my "fantasy" plane idea for a vertically launched super XP-51 Mustang.

Hehe build a "launch cradle" for the airplane. Give it "bomb" properties so that it can be "dropped." Make it big enough with obBodyPts so the airplane rests on it, and create a DOF that pivots the plane into the vertical. Make it so heavy that the plane can't "lift" it off the ground. Add the cradle into the loadout.ppf and startup.ppf as a "weapon."

Pivot yourself vertical, start your engine, "drop" the cradle, and away you go!

Er..maybe. I think.
