can anybody tell me how to do it? Maybe i did something wrong...

Just unzip it anywhere with the directory structure intact and it will work fine.

File import plugins should be in a directory called "plugins".

Other than that just make sure you have the media path setup properly in the preferences so it can find textures and file references.

To use the import mesh thing, make sure you select the items you want to import in the "Select Objects..." box, and also check the "Load Meshes" option. Uncheck the "Position Objects" if you don't want to do this, uncheck it if you are not sure it might give some undesirable results if you havn't setup the OBJ exporter properly.

Maybe I should have changed the defaults for this.
