Well, I hav etinkered a little, and have got a rough feel for some of it's menu's and options, but I need a little help!

Can anyone point me in the direction of some good basic modelling tutorials, and give me some info on texturing for SDOE

I have managed to get .OBJ files to export so OPS can import them, but I can't get them to smooth at all.

Also, since I dan't have access to all the manuals, are there any good Max sites anybody has found that can provide some basic information on tools and techniques in a language of earth origin? Those I have seen were clearly aime dat a far more advanced life-form than I!!!!!

Here are some links to posts that have dealt with texturing and smoothing. I too had a tough, but fun, time learning this and frankly Iīm not sure I can explain how!! But here is the help I got at this, as always, very helpful forum:

And, perhaps, this:

Hope that helps, donīt hesitate to post more questions though.

Thanks for the links!

I did a few searches on the forum, but missed most of these!

There is still trial and error to go through, but these are a big help. This is a very confusing thing to just jump into, and a good starting point was just what I needed!

Thanks!
