What EXACTLY were you trying to do. I have had OPS bomb out like this for a variety of reasons, but it was always down to me. Plenty of other things cause crashes, but most are well known.

If you were just opening an un-modified .SM file, then I have no idea. That has never happened to me. I have had it happen on models I have built, which would appear in game, but which would crash OPS. I ended up re-starting the B24 model for just such a reason!

Post some details of what you were doing, along with a copy of the error message, and hopefully Brian will be able to give you some pointers!

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Are you:

1) Openning OPS
2) Selecting 'File->Open'

If you just double click the sm to open it in OPS, OPS barfs big time with simular chunks as to what you are describing.

Aladar!

Have you perhaps installed new video-drivers?
When I installed the new drivers from NVidia for my TNT2 64 card, OPS wouldn´t work properly. I had to go back to my old drivers in order to get it to work( ). You can also read here for more info: http://www.fightersquadron.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/001179.html

Hope you get it to work...

I have just had the same thing happen to me - sounds like the video drivers - I just upgraded them.

Thanks for posting that Robert.
