Is this possible? If so, how? I'm working on some slight modifications to the arrestor hook idea from Mace.

ArgonV, This can be done by adding a obFunc to the parent object.

The short version,
obFunc
-FuncName
--DofCommand

You can call the obFunc from onDmg, onDetach, or a keystroke.

The long version.

Let me know if I can be of any help.

Thanks Raider! I have an idea to activate the DOFs on the hidden arrestor hook system when the plane hits the carrier deck. Sounds good?

Raider, when you add the dofCommand to the FuncName... do you add it like this: 'cmdHookToggle or like this: cmdHookToggle

cmdHookToggle, but it has to be in the parent object.

I can send you my test version if that would help.

Yes please send me that test version!

By the parent object, do you mean the plane (Main fuse) or just an object thats the parent that has a object with the DOF you want to call?

Raider, no need to send me your test plane. I got it to work! When the wingtip of the A6M5 reaches damage level 1, an airfoil is activated which causes the plane to be sluggish. This is all I wanted to achieve... airfoils that activate when parts are damaged. (Amongst other things) Now its up to you guys to implement this in the damage models of existing planes.

THANKS for all of your help Raider!

Glad you got it working. That is the great thing about this community, we build on each others success. I have been messing with your air property ideas too. Thank you for the info.
