Consolidated Aircraft Inc., will soon have an opening for an aircraft damage modeler for the PBY-5A. Damage information on this plane is sketchy at best. We have found no gun camera images of damage to a PBY and only 3 damage photos (none of which were helpful).

Any interested parties should enquire within...

Hi Snickers,

Most of my experience is with engine damage, so I would be happy to help you out if you need me.

I'll be MORE than happy to be a test pilot! My fee is $0.00 down and $0.00 a week with $0.00 interest. But I do hope you have flight insurance as I'll be tempted to ram her into the ground at several key points to check if the damage physics are in place.

Hmmm... I will try some experimental DMing on a bird that I am modelling now and send it to you if it works. I always wanted to try this with a plane, and as I am still in the modelling stage right now (a total modelling job as opposed to model some, import, model tweak, import, model some more, etc) it is the perfect time to try this idea.

Any of the stuff I've stuck on the B17 you are welcome to as well. That lovely big tail would look great with a wopping great hole in it!

I also think the damage to waist gun positions I'm working on would go well on the PBY. Then you could take out the blister guns!

now, back to AC3D.....blisters to cut up, internal bits to do....gun positions....that wacky minesweeper loadout, and the dinghy, oh, and the hardpoints for the torpedoes...and the undercarriage...and ...and...and...

Whatever happens DM wise, let me know if you need any modelling changes to the base to accomodate damage!
