Dont want to say why, but I need a DOF to fire if I take control of a crew position. For example, would it be possible to have the bay doors open automatically when i become the bomber (must hit F6, not just look at the position....)? This is not what I am going to do, but its a close enough parallel...------------------ Snickers =FC= IP: Logged |

You can make the dof active when you press F6 but I don't know how you would limit it to a certain crew position without additional key strokes. You can make a key command so that the AI won't use it, but when the player takes control they hit the key to activate the dof. If you can tell us more, maybe we can figure out a work around. IP: Logged |

OK, I'll spill the beans.... I want to set it up so that the blister opens when you take command of the position. I know it can be done with a keystroke. But it would be waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy cool if you F7 to the gunners slot, hit F6 to take command (or wake him up) and the glass pivots out of the way. Like I said, I know this can be done with a keystroke but having it go automatically is "bells and whistles time...". Thanks------------------ Snickers =FC= IP: Logged |

just thinking...... If the glass was closed, wouldn't the AI continue to fire the gun through the glass untill you enter the position?..........or do you have it set up just as an observer position?IP: Logged |

Yes it would. Though often the AI doesnt wake up right away (or at all). The only time you would really notice is if you were in close or manning that position. This is about equal to opening the cockpit. Dont really have to do it but its a nice touch....------------------ Snickers =FC= IP: Logged |
