OPS and new Nvidia drivers?

Robert Pilot	posted 10-06- 05:38 AM I downloaded and installed the latest Nvidia drivers (6.31 detonator)for my TNT2 model 64 card. After that OPS wouldn´t work, either it crashed when I tried loading a plane or it opened but the displaywindow was just all white. I uninstalled the new drivers and installed the 6.18 drivers, same thing. I then went back and installed the drivers that came with the card and now OPS works again, luckily. It´s a shame though, ´cause SDOE appeared to run smoother with the new drivers (6.31). Has anyone else experienced this or know a way to get around it? Thanks/Robert IP: Logged
Raider Pilot	posted 10-06- 09:11 AM I had the same problem, then took Will's advice in the Help area. He said to unselect a couple of the driver options. When I did, OPS works again and I can still fly SDOE with the options off. I can easily select them again to play other games when not using OPS. Here is what to do. After you reinstall the new drivers, don't try and open OPS until you have turned of the following options. 1. Right click in an open area of your desktop (Not over an icon) and select properties. This should bring up your Display properties. 2. Click the tab Settings 3. Click the button Advanced. 4. Click the tab RIVA TNT (Or what ever you processor is) 5. Click the button Additional Properties 6. Click the tab Direct 3D Settings 7. Uncheck Enable fog table emulation and Adjust Z-buffering depth to rendering depth if unequal. 8. Click the button Apply 9. Click all the OK buttons until all the windows are closed. 10. Run OPS. Just do it again to recheck these options for other games but SDOE does run without these options. Robert Pilot	posted 10-06- 01:37 PM Well, I tried turning those options off and; With the 6.18 drivers OPS works but is choppy, it doesn´t run well at all. With the 6.31 drivers I can´t get to the D3d settings because when I click "Additional properties" I get an error message.
