K for some fun on the side and to get more used to OPS i have been playing with this.

I first copied and pasted the plane apon itself and moved the copy to the right until it looked like the right spot.

Then i deleted all kinds of cockpit stuff and the 2 inside wings and stabs.

Then i renamed all the right wing stuff from rwing1 back to right wing to get alot of the stuff working.

I have only tested in the take off training but right now I guess it can't fly cause the 2 109s that fly over crash and then that crashes the game AND computer, I'm not getting a cdt here i'm getting a hard lock.

Kinda sucks.

I have lots to look at and see whats going on but i do have a question.

Do you guys have any reason why the right gear, (the copied and renamed ones) are collapsing on me? The wing doesn't come off or nothing but before the game freezes the gear folds and the wheel rolls away.

K i got it to fly now I switched to using the landing test for an air start and at first the right side always droped.

So i deleted all the stuff in the right fuse like all the wight and references to parts and stuff to leave a shell with an engine and then i changed the number of engines and the right engine target so they both work now.

So it flys, It can crash and doesn't crash the computer.

Now i Have to model that stab instead of the ones i'm using now and that wing that goes between the 2 fuses and the new cover for the left cockpit and get the right fuse guns active and fix some switchins on the right wing gear. AND get the right tail wheel stearing working.

HAHA yeah tons i know.

I do have a question though. For some reason when i use the airlerons they work but the plane rotates around the original fuse. Anything you guys can think of that would make it do that>? Somthing I have to move to inbetween the 2 fuses to get it working right>?

I'm beginning to think I should have used the p38 as a base and just used the models from the bf109f but it is in the air and flying and damage seem to be working so i'm doing somthing right.

Onto modeling the parts

When this stuff works its tons of fun.

K i moved an inertia box and it seemed to help on the roll issue but it also slowed down the roll rate.

BTW this sucker REALLY accelerates.

Is there anywhat to tell what inertia box is the one for the whole plane>? like the main one>? cause thats the one i figure i need to move.

OK again ( suprise suprise i'm stumped i tried to add the other guns but they still don't work.

Anyone have any ideas? I added them to the loadout file by copy and pasting gun2 and renameing them gun3 and gun4 and thats what i named them on the plane too.

I tried to add the guns to the gun list under pilot but ops won't let me add a new gun to the list with the right click menu, it always adds it above or below the list and not part of it since that menu won't open in the list only out of it.

Got the guns working. I had to hand edit the properties instead of trying to use the little menu dealy.

I still can't get parts into max though.

OK I got the wing section built that joins the 2 fuses. And I got it into OPS. It even preserved and streched the texture from the inside wing section I cut and extruded it from so that will work for now till i learn more about texture mapping.

Problem though, I copyed and pasted the left wing tip and then changed the model to my centerwing model.

It did CDT after that.

So I deleted all the properties and then it worked but It didnt' show up in SDOE then.

So i put them back in and just took out the damage ones and it CDT again.

I'm kinda lost now, What do I need to do to get the wing to show up in the game.


I also Set the gun convergence and after i get the new 3d parts i'm making into the game and visible. I'm going to upload to simfiles for people to check out.

All I need to do is make the models to cover over the other cockpit and the tail unit for now.

Well I sent the file to razer and he can't even see the centerwing in OPS.

Its like ops calls out to the model to show it to me and it can't find it on razers computer nor when its used in SDOE.

Freaking pissing me off.

On top of that i just covered over the cockpit on the right fuse and did everything for exporting and importing that i did with the centerwing and it came back with no texture map nor smoothing intact.

What is with this crap.

Since I upgraded to windows ME and updated all my bios/drivers OPS doesn't work anymore, its the only software I'm having problems with
