Is it possible to have 2 fuel tanks that work 2 engines? Like when one fuel tank is empty, 1 engine quits? I am working a few things and this is holding me back. When I put 10 gal in one tank and 200 gal in the other, both engines will run the same amount of time. I have the engFuelSource set so that each engine has a tank. What is wrong?IP: Logged |

Why not use 1 tank as 'Main and one tank as 'Aux?IP: Logged |

That doesn't seem to work either. When one tank is empty, it uses the other.IP: Logged |

Whirlwind I have a fuel gauge for the main and the aux tank, they both get used at the same time, rather than switching to the Aux when the Main is empty (dumb huh), so thats not an option as a fix for this. That being said, I don't know an answer, I'd have done exactly the same, specify seperate tanks for seperate engines, if that doesn't work I really don't know what will.. try putting more than 10 gals in there and fly it longer, you do know that if you put 0 fuel in the mission editor you'll never run out of fuel don't you.. this could be linked to that problem, meaning theres so little fuel it registers as 0 and gives you an endless supply, but I'm just guessin, I thought you did it right myself~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Hmmm... simply using 'LWing and 'Rwing for fuel sources instead of 'Plane doesn't work?IP: Logged |

Razor, have you actually made fuel tanks, or just specified them? The A10 has 4 tanks actually specified with models, maybe if you only have obFuel specified and not an actual tank built this could be the problem, just a thought~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Nat, I used the fuel tank from the P-47D. I suppose that it is a tank. I put a needle for Tank 1 & Tank 2. Tank 1 had 10 gal, tank 2 had 300. When tank 1 was empty, the engine kept running until tank 2 was used up. I can't figure it out.IP: Logged |

I think the problem here is the limitation of the engine on this.. think about it, we build say 3 tanks, but only have the choice of Main, Aux and Drop tanks, what I'm thinking is that regardless of which tank you state, the aircraft runs from Main Aux and Drop, and not neccusserily a specific tank, i.e. Tank1, what this means is if you make tank1 for Leng and tank2 for Reng, they are both "Main" tanks, so the game uses them both regardless of what you've told it to do. I know this is no help whatsoever, but maybe a reason for what you're finding IP: Logged |

Nat, I am thinking the same thing you are. I did tell one tank that it is Aux and the other Main. That still didn't help. I will continue to work on the problem. I will let you know if I find anything.IP: Logged | |
