I wan to make a loadout option for the P38L-1-LO. Remove the 50 (easy, just don't include it in this loadout.) BUT - this mod had 8 50's instead of 4. The .sm file doesnt show the guns at all. How can I add 4 more, and have them be under the pilots control?

Did a rough version of this way back when I first started OpenPlaning!

Caught me for a while too!

As well as putting the guns into the loadout, add them to the pilots gunlist. As Nat pointed out, thismodel has a seperate cockpit SM. All chanegs must be done there, or the don't stick. OPS lets you make all the changes.......then they vanish when you try to save!

Added the guns, but adding to the gunlist is something else. OPS won't let me do that.... (Append is greyed out)

thats right, you can't append a gun list, you just have to delete it and add a new one with the guns you want listed

Spanky here...

actually you can just use the edit property function in ops.

Just highlight the pilot and click the hand writing on a notepad up top.

That lets you hand edit everything. Just be sure to keep the formating exactly the same.

the original pilot properites on the 109f4 were.

(obSSO) (obProto 'CCrewPos) (obCrewType 'pilot) (obQuickViews 'ArtHorz 'gunSight 'fuelNeedle 'ClockMin) (gunList 'gun1 'gun2 'cannon5) (crewRadius 2) (obViewPt 0.03,0,-0.04 )

I changed them too

(obSSO) (obProto 'CCrewPos) (obCrewType 'pilot) (obQuickViews 'ArtHorz 'gunSight 'fuelNeedle 'ClockMin) (gunList 'gun1 'gun2 'gun3 'gun4 'cannon5 'cannon6) (crewRadius 2) (obViewPt 0.03,0,-0.04 )

That is easier to me then rebuilding the list. specialy on a list thats long.

You have to use the "Edit properties as text" pad to move the body points around. Editing it in the properties list doesnt work.
