I have a query on the OL tools, which cropped up when I was playing with the B17.

When I export from AC3D to build a new OL file, the DOF data gets lumped in with the properties. This can cause some problems. Especially when the data ends up being shunted one step down the parts tree!

Is this a known issue, or is it a bug?

I thought I'd ask, since I found out lat night I had forgotten to add some lods to the base model, which means I will have to re-import into AC3D, add all my mods again, and re-export. Then I've got to sort out all those bloody DOF's again.
Took longer than the plane mod did to re-DOF!

From what I know, Hippie's DOF tool works fine but is not compatible with OPS. OPS stored the DOFS in binary form, Hippie implements DOFS in the prop list. So it will work fine until you update your aircraft from OPS.

That would explain it.

Still, since the DOFs are unchanged from the original, I'll just cut and paste the originals back in!

It's still tedious, but at least I know why. I can live with that!
