Perhaps some of you have had this problem. I created some left side objects for the Mig-15, and then mirrored it in MAX r3 to get the right side ones. It all looks well there, but when I export it via max2obj and import into Openplane, the normals on the mirrored objects seem to be reversed, which means that all the polys are only visible from the backside. If I reverse the normals in MAX, then it looks OK in OPS, but the same problem obviously occurs in MAX then.

Did any of you encounter this problem and can you recommend a solution?

That happens because MAX modifys the objects matrix to make the mirror, and it is a transformation that isn't supported by OPS or SDOE. To fix it just select it, use the reset Xform tool, which should flip all of the faces, and then flip the face normals for it.

Thanks for the reply! I see now where the problem arises from. I'll need to look at that.

I'll also use the opportunity to say the OPS is simply awesome, without it all the new planes would hardly be possible! Thanks a lot for creating it!
