Hey all

As you probably know I'm working on Petes F14 and F15 as a little side project, along those lines I have 2 problems that I'm sure you can help me out with..

The first is the cockpit, I've taken the one from the Harrier to replace the 262 pit it had before, looks great now, but the problem is that the textures on the panel are blurred unless you zoom right in, is there a way to sort this out so the remain clear when viewed normaly?

Secondly, the Paveway I built.. I can't get it to show up in a mission. The Paveway has Paveway.sm and is a Bomb.. so in the loadout I replaced the refs in Heavy Bombing to read 'Paveway instead of the bomb that was there before, but this hasn't worked..

Can someone explain what I need to do to add the Paveway correctly?

You need to increase the view distance in the texture file definition (the place in the sm file where the 82222 stuff you need to change to make the texture transparent is, the view distance is defined around that area).

I realize this may seem like a dumb response Nat (in other words- you probably did this!)- but did you add a line in the startup .ppf for the Paveway? I know when Jag and I worked on the Dole's Tallboy last year, it took us an hour or 2 to get it to show up

WW, thanks, I'll take a look at it.. but the internal workings or SMs aren't that good with me, I'll take a look anyway though

On the blurring, what do you have the detail slider set at? If it's not full up then the cockpit will blur.

I know how dumb I am sometimes I realised last night that I had the texture detail turned down and when I pushed it back up it was fine.. I just never noticed this so much with other aircraft... 2 very simple answers to both my questions and things I should've known ::shaking head::

I'm now trying to split the model up into it's parts, nose, tail engines etc since other than ordance there isn't much left to do with it.. lets hope this part goes well lol
