On, say, a 4 engined bomber. Can you map 4 keys to start/stop an individual engine? or to feather individual props?

I know there is an input command to toggleengine states, but I don't know if there is a reference to each engine or whether it just affects all 'engine' objects listed in the properties list.

If anyone knows how, could they post the command and point me in the right direction as to where to site it.

It bugs me with the damage model improvements being made that you can't feather a damaged engine alone, or switch it out if it gets shot up. I also thought about fire extinguishers for flaming engines...

I have some plans, but if you can't control engines on/off seperately, they just won't be workable.

You can turn the engines on and off individualy! Its Ctrl 1-4 and Shift 1-4 I dont know about the feathering.... I think you must have the 1.5 official patch to get the engines to turn on and off individualy. I cant believe you didnt know about that.

You know, this stuff isn't in the manual and it aint on the keyboard ref. card.

Must be in one of those little readme files cluttering up the database.

Readme......wondered what they were for.....

Thanks for the info!

What I really need to know though, is how to do it from damage modelling within the game. Tie it to an ObProb etc.

Wakeup

You can print the keyboard.??? file in your main FS directory. It will show all the commands for individual engine start/stop and feathering.

Can't help with the damage stuff you need though. I just fly the dam planes, lol!
