Ok, I set the 3dsmax units to feet, so now I have a grid line every one foot, right? And SDOE uses 1 unit = 1 foot, right? Now I import an OBJ that I exported from OPS using the obj2max plugin, in this case the prop and engine from the Dh2. What is "vertex scaling?" I set it to 1.0 Well the prop imports nice, but it looks to be 8 inches! Can someone please explain to me scaling and units for SDOE/OPS/3dsmax? Much thanks! ------------------ -Sv =FC= WWI in SDOE!

sv,check and make sure that your grid is set to display one grid line per foot. because if you just set 1 unit = 1 foot in preferences, the grid display default is one line per ten units, so you are seeing the correct size of the model, but the grid makes it look very small. if i remember correctly, all the stuff that i did with sdoe in max looked very small. just try a quick export to .obj and see if its the proper size in ops IP: Logged |
