Hey Hippie, I'm looking at lodhack again, I see that there is a texture option so here's my sit. and Q

when working on the Midway Terrain, to make the whole terrain flat I export a flat ocean LOD, and then import it over every land that I want to alter, then I run my batch file that uses lodhack to alter the material values to water, so now I have a flat terrain that is water.. problem.. when importing the LOD it also imports it's texture reference, or it gets altered in some way and the textures are no longer correctly aligned.

I want to know how to use lodhack to alter the texture reference so that say terrain0 has africaSuper0 on it.

Thanks for any help Hippie.

~Nat~

PS, another way is if anyone knows how I can import a LOD in OPS so that it doesn't alter texture refs. but takes on the origonal references.

Thanks Guys

Nat,

I'm pretty sure that all the terrain .LODs use texture index = 1 for their main texture.
Texture index 1 is the Super texture.

The "Super" textures are handled as a special case by the FS engine.

I'm guessing that the (obTileID 'X) properties on each tile group in the terrain .sm file determine which sub texture file gets applied to which tile.

So there is probably nothing wrong with
texture numbers in the LODs.

You probably just have to get the obTileIDs
right in the .SM file using SMD/OLC.

Hippie.
