Has anyone got an idea as to what defines wether or not an aircraft can be placed on a carrier? Is it the size of the deck? Is it the material value? See, the Ark Royal is a small carrier, and although you can land on it (with alot of practice) no-ones yet been able to get aircraft to start on it.. anyone tell me what the deal is here?

I suggest you try this. Enlarge the deck of the Ark Royal just for kikks and see if you can place an aircraft on it. If you still cant is a material issue most likely. Ive also noticed that the hull of your carrier passes thru the water (relisticly) but maybe thats affecting it somehow. Move the carrier up above the water (or right on it like the Akagi) and see how that affects anything.[This message has been edited by ArgonV (edited 07-23-2000).] IP: Logged |

Nat, last time i think this problem was fixed by setting the material of the deck to "water". Goofy I know. TS

LOL, not a bad idea, I'll have to change it back to water, I set it to mud right now to see if it's easier to land on IP: Logged |

Nat,The deck should be part of the parent LOD and material set to water to make planes start from the carrier deck. IP: Logged |
