Hey guys...

Working on the F86's FM ... There seems to be a point where the speed of the aircraft (roughly 550 mph).. where the aircraft begins wild rotational occilations. What's weird is "IF" I manage to control the aircraft durring this ..ahem... manuver. I notice the speed burst up to 600+ mph ... even in a climb.

What's going on? I'm "GUESSING" the DOF springs of the wings are fluttering ...but thought I'd ask first before I go screwing with the DOFs ...

Thanks guys

Just for reference:
Nose up and down - Pitch axis
Nose side to side - Yaw axis
Around longitudinal center of fuse - Roll axis

I got the file installed for the plane and I'll look this afternoon. (BIG GRIN)

You hit the nail on the head, Zur. I'll bet it's starting an oscillation at that speed and flapping it's wing. Looks like you have yet to add the left wing root DOF, and I'd give it some dofDamp. Once the oscillations start, the damp will absorb them.

Perhaps when you get the other DOF in, the forces will act more in harmony, and absorb even more of the oscillation.

Sure looks like it's going to be a fun airplane!! I love the spool up of the turbine!
