Ok, Ive gotten handy at DOFs but I still cant figure out this one. Why does the modified Ju-88 jolt backwards on release? Ive tried many things and still get the same results. I really want to fix this problem as it will add to the realism if I do. So any ideas? I stole the breaking DOF method from the P-47d canopy. I removed some other useless DOFs however and kept only the two required for the thing to break on a key press. Help me please guys.

Take a look at the Ju-88 / V-1 dropper. On that airplane it does a very smooth release of the V-1 (maybe because it's a bomb?).

I think your situation is a tough one since it's a flying airplane, and not just a bomb (with bomb properties).

Make the stand a pylon and the Mistel's Ju88 a bomb, then you have a big bomb
