Im working overtop of an aircraft that has many more textures than I acutally need.

Im using smd and olc along with OPS. I delete the block for the texture in the .ol file and compile, but then it crashes OPS.

This is the part im removing. So far as I can tell there arent any more references to the texture in the .ol file.

[TextureFile]
./aircraft/cockpit/germ/textures/109efsidewall.tif
6 ; texindex
64 ; width
64 ; height
0.000000000 ; modelDist
802223 ; flags
0 ; CRC

Is there a way to do this straight from ops?

Hi Falck, whenever I have this problem it's because the texture is referenced *somewhere* in one of the LODs. It can be hard to track down exactly where, sometimes I had to resort to exporting the objects in LOD format and looking at the texture flags.

Your aircraft probably has more than 6 textures, right? Now here's the problem: You delete the texture reference with index no. 6, so index no. 7 comes right after 5 - and SDOE is confused. I think you have to re-index your texture-references and adjust the LODs accordingly.

I think hippie's olc stuff handles this, I never had a problem.

At one time I had a little program written that would go threw all the .lod files and replace texture numbers for you and delete texture numbers that you took out and replace them with new texture numbers. It worked quite well but seems now that I have lost the source and need to find some time to write it over again. I saved me alot of headaches...Just gave it one big headache while I was writing it. =)

Hehe - it was my fault, like Tailslide said, I deleted a "long forgotten" texture...

However works fine again !
