yes it most certainly is I haven't got it myself, I'm stll stuck with Max r2, it'd just take too long with a 56k modem to make use of it for meIP: Logged |

Tell you what. Let's not even mention warez sites on this board. Nat, you should probably edit your post before one of the moderators does it for you.If someone doesn't want to spend $3500 for 3D Studio they can use AC3D. Or something in between. While Max might not ever get his money, I'll bet some of these other companies would like the support of people with hobbyists' wallets. IP: Logged |

Hmm... interesting. I wonder how long it will take with a 56k modem? I guess there is but one way to find out... I'll have to try and see.IP: Logged |

Mighty, I see your point, and it's a valid one. So, that being said, you advice is taken, and the link thread cleared, main thing I guess is that Lil might have gotten some help from this, and it's not really needed on the board anymore.~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Nat, I never saw the link, certainly never downloaded anything .....honest...... Free max...mmmmmmmmmmBut hey, i agree with supporting the likes of Andy with AC3D, and paid my money to register. Dedicated types supporting the hobby user deserve support. Not so some of the mega corporations. They do it for the money. IP: Logged |

yeah, see the thing is, I have no problems with giving links to stuff like Max to guys, since we could never afford the program in any case I don't think we're costing them money by using it from warez, what I didn't think about this time though, is the fact that AC3D is a good program that is fully adequate for use with SDOE projects, and is very inexpensive... so.. although giving out a link to d/l Max for free in my mind is fine as I outlined above, in this case it could effectively stop someone from registering AC3D, which costs the maker of that prog money.. so, I was wrong to do so "holding hands up"~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Spanky here... Nat, Just email warez links to people who are in need. Thats what I always do. About the whole Ac3d thing. It COULD be a great program with just a little more tweaking and a couple more features. But max just does a couple things better. And no not $3000 better. Plus its way more stable, at least on my machine.
