Argon you have to remember that when the plane is intially loaded the dofs will be at their down position if the plane is on the ground and if in the air then the plane will have them in the up position. Be sure the axis and origin are correct for the dof I can't remember right off the top of my head but if the dof doesn't run correctly try making the origin values -1 or +1 that should help you somewhat. Also be sure that in dof mode that your dof is exactly where you want it. Sv has a great tutorial on dofs.

FarmerJoe, thanks for the advice but that is not my problem. The wings retract just fine. I have 4 DOFs for each wing that run in a timed sequence. Now the problem I am having is getting them to fold back out in an ordered sequence. They DO fold back out, but not in an ordered timed sequence like I want them to.

Ok, Problem solved! They key was in the oscDelayEnd timing.

Okay can you describe to me how you fixed it step by step and what you overlooked so I can put it down in a file I keep for dof editing. It would be a great addition. That way I can make a little program on dofs and all the problems and you can find a quick soloution because I noticed lots of people were having problems with dofs and I have been keeping a somewhat extensive text file on dofs and plan on maybe releasing this contrapion soon!

There is a property defined in the proplist of the DOF called oscDelayEnd that you can set as an integer value (in seconds) I looked at the F4us wings and those were set to 0 but those DOFs only went up and down so there was no need for timing. My wing retracts have 3 DOFs that run in a sequence but that sequence 'flowed' together because the oscDelayEnd was set at 0. So basicly you have to set the last DOF oscDelayEnd to 0 or 1 and then count up how many seconds its in motion and set the next to last DOF oscDelayEnd to whatever that second value is and so on and so fourth. oscDelayEnd is basicly like oscDelayBgn but affects only the reverse instead of the foward motions.
