Hippie,

This is what I do:
extract *.sm file using smd.exe
import *.ol file in ac3d.
save file into *.ac
loading this *.ac file in ac3d gets an exception

I don't have this problem using extractor.exe

Thanks,

Marcus

Does it happen in all cases?
Is there a particular .SM fle that does this?

It is more likely to be a problem with ol import rather than smd.exe I must admit
I haven't used save for a while, just quick
import/export tests while checking the
ol_import and ol_export plugins.

Hmmm perhaps AC3D doesn't like having arbitary stuff in the URL field. I might
have to merge the matrices into the object
data field.

Yup, confirmed it is the the stuff I am
cramming into the object URL fields,
I'll have to do a serious bit of rejigging
on ol_import and ol_export, but it will
have to wait for the weekend.
Sorry.

Hippie.
