When I upgraded to win98...I forgot to copy my loadout.ppf file..and it's been so long, I no longer remember how to create one, let alone EDIT one. Where can I download a loadout.ppf file?

A loadout.ppf comes with every single user created plane, just download a plane and then take a peek. Hope this helps.

Yes, bigmuncher is a good idea. You can even unbig the plane packs and get their original loadout.ppf files. You can find it in the parsoft tools download on the main page (Tech information/patch section I think). If you don't want to use bigmuncher, I can email some loadouts.ppf files to you. Which ones do you want?

BTW Welcome back

If you would email me a loadout.ppf file (for the p51), that would work best for me.

Thanks,

Dan

How do I get one for the p51...which isn't a user-built plane?

thanks...I'll give that a try. I've been monitoring FSIC about once a week since my last posts. Is this great sim going to be upgraded by parsoft...or is the user community going to take it from here?

Daniel, check your mail. I sent both the loadout.ppf for the modified P-51D beta and the original.ppf for the original shiped P-51D. Let us know if you have any questions.

Not sure when the post below appeared in relation to the emails I received. The email server dumped the files to an "internet hard disk". I was unsuccessful at getting them from that "device" (which I didn't request)...and asked you to send the file within an email. I logged onto the email server and saw your email...but since I complained to the email server people about what happened...evidently they don't like to be criticized..as now they won't give me access to my account (which I've used for 2 years now). Hopefully, it's just a glitch...but you know what they say about absolute power!

Thanks again..

Dan

P.S. Tell me again...which directory does the AIRCRAFT directory go under?

Dan, here ya go. Click on the link below. It will download a small zip file with the two (original and updated) P-51D loadout.ppf files in it.

Download loadout.ppf

The directory sturcture looks like this.

C:\Program Files\Fighter Squadron\Media\Aircraft\P51d

Hope this works for you and good luck with getting your email straightened out.
