hy everybodyFirst I would like to thank 'tailgunner', he did a very great job (new tail-section of the 'fake' BR.20) Now here's my problem: I've this new tail-section, which has a separate skin (brtail.tif). Inside the game I see the tailsection of the plane (including the skin), but everything on the tail-s. looks way too dark! In OP it looks also too dark. This has nothing to do with the painting work (the skin for the tail is just a copy-n-paste of the original). So where can I change the light and/or shadowing of certain skins?? I've already 'flaged' the same positions ('pixel format','shading',etc.)inside OP for the tail-section-texture so it matches the other ones, but nothing changes (???) please help gt IP: Logged |

I guess thats just the know problem with the normal. Somehow you lost the normal values for the new tail section (might be a wrong import format). Might be that tailgunner exports the object the wrong way. Sometimes I see this strange thing with correct .obj files. I fixed it with just re-importing the "infected" lods (works only when the normals are there..).LK IP: Logged |

Spooky stuff. I tested this before I zippe it up and sent it. It looked OK to me....one thing I did forget to do, which may be causing your problem. Open the polane up in OPS. Select the TEXTURES flag Double click on BRTAIL, and change the texture size from 0,0 DOH!!!!!!! it should be 256 , 256 Mail me if this isn't the problem. Good Luck As the air gunners ditty goes, Take the firing block out of my kidneys, The striking pin out of my brain, The recoil-spring out of my liver, And assemble the Browning again..... Well guess what.It was the normals geting 'abnormal' Laika was spot on. Still I'm not surprised. I've seen the stuff he's been posting, and the guy clearly knows his stuff. Still, we live and learn, and one day, I hope to be that good. In the mean time, check your mail, cos the mark 2 stork should be there to try. The skin definitely needs re-sizing, and re-doing. Your Italian skins look far better thn my attempts in the past. I repainted the He100 to make a false Folgore. It was a plane I never used anyway. IP: Logged | |
