Does anyone know why the P47 rockets shoot off in random directions after about 1/8 of a mile? Is it just my machine or are others seeing it as well?

Hmm - I didn't looked at this in the P47 - but I can tell from my own experiments with rockets. I tried to build comletly new rockets for the I-16 and somehow it does not work. All was looking good in OPS, but it doesnt work in SDOE (same behaviour as you described above) Might be that the P47 rockets are also "selfmade".

Make sure the fins are precisely lined up.

Laika, try the rockets on the Yak-3.. They are your rockets from the I-16 but they shoot straight..

Not that the real thing shot very straight anyways.

The P47 uses the standard german rockets, the same as used on the FW190 and the Ju88. For me those too often wander away after a few hundred yards.

Tail - the I-16 rockets are actually "normal" shipped rockets , I can't remember wich one I used. Could it be that when you open a rocket in OPS and save it that something gets screwed up (like with the pilots).

Björn - if they only "wander away" I would say this is the normal behaviour, my selfmade rockets did 90 deg turns without loosing speed, they moved more like a mad rabbit...
