I know that measuring has come up in the past, but what about measuring angles? Measuring the angles of incidence, declination or even the wing against the fuselage would be a great help.

Also a button to position your plane as though it were on the runway or in level flight.... (Side, front and back...)

I've also been asking for some measuring tools. I made a "graph paper" object with 1 by 1 foot squares so I could measure rough distances and areas (but not angles) in OPS.

I had started to implement positional and rotational values in the status bar. You should see them now just as the position.
The intention was that you would select either rotation or position as the display mode and then what you wanted the value relative to i.e whether the rotation/position is relative to the world, the object itself or its parent, or maybe (just thought of this) an arbitary part.

Also I planned to implement a type in so manual value could be entered.

The reason this was stalled was because I was focusing on exporting all of the positional and rotational stuff from MAX. That way all of the MAX tools could be used. Of course this doesn't help people who don't use MAX

Anyway, was what I described what you were talking about?

Er ahh,
1) I dont use Max....
2) Nope.

It would be nice to take a tape measure tool and say "Yup, 104' on the wingspan. Or, using thr protrator tool, "Lets see, angle of declination of the quad 50's was 7 degrees.... 6.873 Ok that will do...." Or angle of incidence is... (you get the idea..). Direct position entry (direct coordinent entry, whatever...) would be very nice too, now that you mention it (even for or maybe especially for ?? ) for us weenies that use AC3D... ) Speaking for myself there sv, Tail...

Thanks for listening...
