As anybody knows I'm working on the
'fake' FIAT BR.20 (Manchester-Beta).

Ok first let my say I'm not expert!

The Problem:
This plane (Manchester) is far to slow! I can hardly lift off (need all my flying tricks to get off from ground)!

The Question:
How can I change the HP on those engine, well or just make this plane faster?
I've found the following stuff inside OP:
Properties of the engines=engMaxHP=1500,2200
But if I change this (let's say double the
two numbers to 3000,4400) inside OP and save the file ... and re-open it, it has still the old value.
So it's probably not the right place?????

Please help me with this stuff, 'cause the
releasing of the 'fake'BR.20 depents on it
(you won't be able to fly it)!!!!!!!

thanks to all

gterl,

I had a go at this a while ago and it worked...however I'm nowhere close to being an expert at ops.....

When you change the values (my BR20 is 1900,2900), click on OK, go to 'File', click on 'reload current file'. This will save and reload the SM file. The new values should now appear...and don't forget to do both engines.....I only say this because I originaly didn't

OOPS...just read your post again...the values to change are under:

manc/leftWing/engine2 and
manc/rightWing/engine3

Have fun....can't wait to download it

Cheers,

now this is what I call 'SPOOKY' or 'STRANGE'....

I tried the same thing you wrote AGA. The ONLY difference was that I DID NOT press 'reload' but instead 'file-save' (well in the end it should be the same result).
So if I choose 'file-save' it will NOT (I repeat NOT) save the changes in the 'properties' (only with 'reload')!!!

...SPOOOOKY!!!

thanks for your help!

I believe the properties are saved, but if you just close and open, the old copy is opened again. If you make the changes, save, quit, fire up OPS, open file; then you should see the changes. Of course, doing the reload is faster :-)

Occassionally some of the toolbar buttons and maybe the menu commands don't work when some things have the focus. If you had just used the properties window then it is possible that this is the cause. One thing to do is click in the 3d window before you save. That definitly gets toolbar commands
