Spanky here..

K used the VRML dealy and got a part in max

One problem LOL

The tail boom that extends from the end of the fuse to the tail feathers in the picture below is bigger then the whole plane i'm putting it on.

Also What is the best way to get the part in in the way you want?

Do you want the object at the o,o,o coordinates in Max? And if i want it running front to back what way should it be orientated? front to plus Z?

Thanks a ton guys, Soon I shall be getting some of my creations in the air

Freaking finally

Well that sucks

k JT helped me out a bit iwth this but I have a new one.

In max when I make it and render you can see the smoothing.

and in OPS you can see the smoothing/shading

But in SDOE its just a green stick instead of looking round its a really bright green stick, it doesn't seem to have any shading or smoothing but you can't see the edges. Its not like having smoothing turned off its like its got no lighting at all.

I don't know if JT helped you fix your scale problem or not but the best way is to use generic units and treat each unit as 1 foot.

For your shading problems, its possible that the poly flags, or texture flags ( can't remeber if the poly flags have something to do with this) are telling it look like this.

If you can send me the VRML file and the Sm file I can check to make sure it isn't being screwed up by OPS.

Spanky here...

Yeah he said set it to one foot and use the tape measure to measure stuff.

I'm thinking of that and seting the grid to one foot if it isn't all ready and then unlocking the background and zooming until its at the right scale/zoom and locking again.

i'm sending those 2 files in a sec.
