Topic: Teruzuki beta 1.1 update and Zuikaku release.

Spanky here.. I ended up downloading it anyway man and ya know what it wasn't that bad. Even with that crazy amount of planes you put in the test mission. I was droping under 15 but man that was alot of planes LOL. With just the one FW on the deck i was getting around 35, if i was inside the tower i was getting 62 and if i was flying and the rest of the planes were dead and i wasn't looking at the ship i was geting 60s. So all in all its not too bad. I think you can make it much more FPS freindly by doing some more lod work. It didn't seem like alot of parts had many and they didn't seem to drop the detail much. Just a thought. I think maybe you should do a really low level lod where everything but the deck switches to nothing and the deck turns in to a big rectangle box made up of 5 polys. Just a thought. I really think LODs are the key to frame rate issues. If anyone has played motorcross madness 2 you will see what i mean. Trees GALORE  IP: Logged |

I agree about the LODs. I think that the switchin distances could probably be cut down drastically without many problems. For instance, the guns should switch out very soon IMHO. Anyhow, it might be worth a shot.charm IP: Logged |

Spanky and charmstar,Beta 1.1 of the Zuikaku is available for download. Actually, the guns had more polygons than the ship so I made far LODs for them. Try the "defend.mis" I included. It has 9 F4Us, 7 Zeros, 4 Teruzukis and 1 Zuikaku  I also released beta 1.2 of the Teruzuki to fix CTDs that some people are getting when loading a mission. IP: Logged |

Wow, that's some speedy service. Uh... the other problem is that there aren't enough types of Japanese planes to defend those ships. Will you fix that too? :-)charm IP: Logged |

charmstar,I might do a Val after I am done with the Ju87G I am making. Also you can download a Coral Sea mission I made. It has 2 Zuikakus, 6 Teruzukis, 7 Zeros, and 9 Corsairs.
