My system recently started locking up as soon as a (any) model is completely loaded into OPS 1.03 or 1.21. It loads, I move the mose and it locks solit (reset or big red switch time. If I run the same version of OPS across the network (on my other PC), and access the same model (across the network) everythin is fine. Problem is, the system with the better video is the one acting up... SDOE runs just fine though.

Help!?

Is it only when the mouse passes over the 3D Viewport?

Nope. Most of the time its about when the model finishes loading. Every now and again, I can mouse on it for about 30 seconds. To the mest of my knowledge 2 things have changed on this machine:
1) Contest Pack 1.1 was added (though I think I did this before I started having problems).
2) I loaded the drivers for the Suncom joystick......

I hope I dont get to reload this machine

Hi
I had the same problems, OPS would lock up for no specific reason (all OPS versions).
I did this:
-Took off the computer cabinet cover.
-Took the biggest house fan I could find, and made it blow full blast at the processor/video card.

No more lockups. It seems to me that if your computer runs slightly hot, OPS will give you grief. I had two coolermasters on there already on my AMD K6-2 450. Putting the house fan to work solved it.

Machine is clean on the inside now... We are going down by the bow... It started just with OPS, now SDOE and FALCON 4 do the same thing. I suspect my vid card may be in the throws of death. Ah well, I have an I740 I can drop in and see....
